The Saferoom Project Forum Guidelines
- Registration requirements for joining Saferoom include filling out the . You must fill out this form to remain a member of our private members area. Please provide a working email address. If you were a member of a previous SR forum, please use the same user name.
- Please follow general Netiquette suggestions for conduct in our forums.
- For the sake of privacy, we ask that if a forum or chat is based on a specific personal criteria, such as being survivor, partner, or sexual orientation, please allow each other privacy to talk about issues pertaining to those criteria, ie, only survivors join the survivor forums, partners/supporters only join the partners forums, etc. Each perspective on the healing path deserves to have its own space and culture, and we fully support all paths within The Project. As support for a bridge forum develops, we will create it for all to join. Until then, please help us honor the distinctions of both groups by allowing them each their own space.
- Please be courteous to your fellow members, leaving what is said in chat IN CHAT. Likewise, what is said in any aspect of The Project (chat, board) should remain IN CONFIDENCE, in The Project. Conflicts between Project members in other non-Project forums, should NOT be brought onto our boards or into our chats. Bulletin boards should not be used to settle personal disputes, or to engage in or create flame wars. Posts of this nature will be deleted with, or without, notification. What is shared between members privately, should be kept private. Founders will not assist in settling private conflicts that arise between members outside The Project.
- Please keep your contact information up-to-date in each forum you belong to. If your contact information (email address) changes and is not updated with us, you will be removed from the forum, and not re-admitted until we can verify your identity. In our private forums, you change your user ID without being re-approved for membership.
Any questions or clarification on these guidelines should be sent to the founders.
Thank you for helping us look after The Project!
